Stop TTIP!

Stop TTIP!

The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) is in reality a deconstruction of european democracy. The investor - state dispute settlement grants a foreign investor the right to inhibit the capacity of a parliament to pass laws addressing public concerns, such as health and environmental protection, labour rights or human rights. Our national Parliament legislation must not be limited by multinational companie's claims for compensation when a certain law causes loss in business.

Points

We need to go back to real democracy - i. e. people governing society. Especially our national Parliaments must not be limited by arbitral tribunals. Legislation is to important to give multinational companies influence over. The TTIP is a good (scaring) example of how EU has become an unwanted "superstate" that costs too much. A thorough reform should be performed under the control of experts, ordinary citizens and (a few) politicians.
