Freedom of course in this case is a very open and malleable term, but in general what this means is that the Internet should not be free of authoritarian control structures. What this means in practice is more difficult, and left as an exercise to the reader.

Points

Given that the internet is international in policy and infrastructure, I think the focus needs to be on holding influential national governments and international actors (like software and hardware companies) to account.
