A crossing is needed outside the Forge Pine Shop

A crossing is desperately needed on the Lewes Rd, outside the Forge pine shop. There is one set of traffic lights in Ringmer, which for a village of this size, is pitiful. Do we really need for someone to die or get seriously injured, before a crossing is considered? A crossing would also stop traffic, enabling cars to turn out of Harrison's Lane or Bishops Lane, safely.

Points

When I have tried to cross this stretch of road, I sometime have to wait 10 minutes to do so. I would love to be able to walk my children to school on a regular basis and not have to allow extra time for crossing. Also, in a couple of years time, my daughter is going to want to walk to school by herself, and I would not like her to use the crossing that is just a half way point in the road.

This is a very dangerous crossing. Including the exit from The Old Forge, traffic comes from 5 directions, some if which are behind you when wIting to cross. If the new houses are built in Bishops Lane there will Potentially be hundreds more transits of this crossing per day both on foot and in vehicles.
