Educate car drivers (with pamphlets, tests, adverts etc.) about how to deal with bicycles on the road, the distance to leave when overtaking bicycles, what the hand signals mean etc. This would hopefully make the use of bicycles safer, ultimately encouraging more people to use bikes and reduce some of the congestion issues we have.
Encouraging bicycle use as an alternative way of transport will not only reduce traffic congestion but also promote a healthy lifestyle and reduce the load on MDH.
